Founded in 1972 in Hale Cheshire by the present Chairman Mr. R. M. Burgess, following his many years of experience in the specialist engineering sector of blast cleaning, Shotblast Engineering services expanded substantially over the next 32 years.

Since 1991 the Company's expansion has continued both in terms of turnover and assets. The company owns its present 5 acre site, which incorporates three fabrication bays, a machine shop, shot blasting facility, painting facility and stores areas. All of this in turn being complimented by spacious office accommodation incorporating Computer Aided Design facilities , accountancy, sales administration, and reception area.

The company's location in Flintshire gives easy access to the U.K. motorway network, whilst international business is catered for by the close proximity of Manchester International Airport, which is within 1 hour of the factory. Also, the company's location is ideal for shipping to the Irish Republic, with the major port of Holyhead being only one hour from the factory.

In March 1992 Shotblast Engineering Services Ltd. were accredited with BS 5750 Part 1 Certification, this accreditation being transferred to EN ISO9001 in 1994 in line with the latest National and International Quality Standards. As far as is known, the company is still the only manufacturer of both compressed air and airless shot blasting equipment in the World with this accreditation.

One of the key factors in Shotblast Engineering Services Ltd.'s success is its flexibility and its ability to meet different customers demands at competitive prices for quality equipment. This is clearly shown by the wide product range offered by the company which extends from simple pressure blast systems, costing no more than a few hundred pounds up to large fully integrated automatic freight container production costing in excess of £1million (UK pounds) each.

The Company's wealth of experience in the Shotblasting Industry not only includes that of the Chairman himself but also the entire workforce. The Board of Directors have over 120 years of experience in the Industry between them, whilst many employees involved in manufacture have worked in the industry for in excess of 20 years.

Extensive sales and service nationally is complemented by an international distribution network engaged in the industrial fields of Foundries and FGorges, Steel Fabrication, Toolmaking, Automotive and Aerospace for the following applications: de-scaling, deburring, deflashing, sand removed from castings, rust and scale removal, surface etching, peening and cosmetic finishing, including a range of specialist applications that makes SES the leader in blast technology.

SES has always cultivated overseas links and has maintained a strong export record. The company have established a joint venture company with Euroblast LLC who are based in Dubai and are one of the largest suppliers to the Shotblasting Industry in the Middle East.

Our ongoing links with Euroblast, which have been established over a few years, has allowed clients to have a well manufactured shotblasting unit at a competitive price.
